The winners of the prestigious "European Yacht of the Year" award were ceremoniously announced at the boot Düsseldorf on 18 January. The "Oscar of the boatbuilding industry" was chosen by journalists from twelve European sailing magazines in a total of five categories. At the Prestigious Night the jury unveiled the Dehler 30 one design as the winner in the category "Racer/Cruiser". Both the overall concept and the versatile design convinced during the test sails in Port Ginesta, Barcelona. The handling with a small crew and the functional equipment as a cruiser that also allows longer trips made the Dehler 30 one design the clear favorite in its class. The Dehler typical carbon fibre reinforced hull, the water ballast system, the retractable propeller and the double rudder scored points with the experts:

"A stiff, responsive, up-to-date and entertaining sports boat at a respectable price", was the conclusion of the sailors.

The HanseYachts AG team received the award with great pleasure together with Karl Dehler, Speedsailing and judel / Vrolijk & Co. A great success and a perfect start for the development of the new one design class.
